Biography
Prof. Basavaraj S. Hungund has received his Ph.D in Microbial Biotechnology from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He is having around twenty years of professional experience including both industry and academics. He worked as member of Quality Control and Quality Assurance Departments of various Indian and Multinational pharmaceutical organizations like Wockhardt Ltd and Strides Arcolab Ltd. Presently he is working as Professor of Biotechnology, BVB College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli, Karnataka India. He has received several awards and honors and is Fellow of Society for Applied Biotechnology. He also served as member of various academic bodies including that of Visvesvaraya Technological University, India.
Research Interest
His research interest includes production and applications of biopolymers and their composites. Other areas of interest are bioresource development and pharma regulation.
