  The rise of Type 2 diabetes is becoming a global public health scare that needs extra attention and management. The increasingly sedentary lifestyle and westernization of diet have grown in parallel with the worldwide rise in obesity which is a major cause of Type 2 diabetes. This study focused on determining the level of awareness and adherence to medication and diet of diabetic patients at Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Jakarta Indonesia, which will be used as a basis for improving the Diabetes Specialty Clinic for the hospital. The study utilized quantitative method with descriptive correlational type of research to collect information on patients’ level of awareness and their adherence to drug management, diet, exercise and level of awareness.
