Biography

Miguel Angel Gomez Matínez currently works at the Instituto de Biotecnología Ecología Aplicada (INBIOTECA), Universidad Veracruzana. He is very interested in bird conservation, with special emphasis on the effects of urbanization on their communities. For example, he studies bird-window collisions with buildings to try to understand the environmental and urban characteristics, which promotes that birds will be victims of these accidents. Also, he wants to study the effects of fragmentation and urbanization on the genetic variation of birds and other groups of animals.
