Biography
Suranji Wijekoon (BVSc, MPhil, PhD, MSLCVS) graduated from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences, later obtained MPhil from University of Peradeniya and PhD at University of Hokkaido, Japan. She was recipient of Japanese government scholarship in 2014 and fulfilled internships at Glasgow University and Washington University in St. louis. She was a member of American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. Her research interests include stem cell biology and understanding mechanism of action of disease-modifying arthrosis drugs by studying the extensive reciprocal interaction between immune and skeletal systems
