Associate Professor of Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology and Epidemiology, at Graduate School of Public Health, Pittsburgh University. Dr Nachega is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Epidemiology and International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and Professor Extraordinary of Medicine and Director of the Center for Infectious Diseases, at Stellenbosch University, Cape Town, South Africa. He received his training in Belgium (University of Louvain), UK (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine), USA (Johns Hopkins University & Harvard University).
