Martin King

Biography

He is affiliated to Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of Sociology. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.

Research Interest

His current research agenda includes further work on men and masculinities,an examination of the representation of violent sexual crime on UK TV, cultural representations of the 1970s and darkness, decay and masculinity, with particular reference to the work of fiction/faction authors David Peace and Gordon Burn, and the representation of social work in film and TV, a project which includes work with partners in Spain and Sweden.
