Martin Reczko studied Computer Science at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, where he also obtained a PhD conducted at the German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg. In 1995 he co-founded the IT company Synaptic Ltd. In 1998 he took a PostDoc Position at the Democritus University of Thrace and he was elected as a principle researcher for bioinformatics at the Foundation for Research and Technology.In 2008 he joined the Biomedical Sciences Research Center "Alexander Fleming" and is today head of the bioinformatics group of the genomics facility.
