Biography

Dr. E.G Olumayede is a senior lecturer of Environmental Chemistry at Department of Industrial Chemistry. His academic qualifications include B.Sc(Hon) Chemistry, M.Sc (Industrial Chemistry), MPhil (Environmental Chemistry) and Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry magna cum laude granted on August 12th, 2011, by the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. Before the current appointment, he was employed as Senior Lecturer, Department of Chemical Sciences at Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria and teaching courses in Physical chemistry, Environmental chemistry and Analytical Chemistry Meanwhile, before Universities appointment, he has served as Lecturer at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria (between 9th December, 1991 and 29th March, 2012) where he rose to the position of Principal Lecturer and served as Head of Department, General Study Department between March 2007 and February 2009, and Head of Science Laboratory Technology Department from March 2007 until April 2011 .

Research Interest

Dr. E.G Olumayede performs research in field of Environmenta chemistry and toxicology, ecotoxicology, study of chemical fate in the environment, development of predictive /interpretive models thereof. He has accured expertise in microanalytical detection methods. Knowledge and experience have been acquired in the assessment of exposure to chemicals, assessment and management of risks associated with such exposure, and environmental impact assessment. At the University, he has been teaching undergraduate courses in the fields of Analytical, Radiochemistry and Environmental Chemistry. He has also supervised undergraduate student projects and involved in various Research and Development projects.
