Biography
Patrice François is currently an Assistant Professor at the Research Unit, TIMC-IMAG (UMR 5525 CNRS/UJF-Grenoble 1), Grenoble, F-38041, France, his main interests rely on mechanisms triggered by lysogenic prophages integrated in the genomes of Staphylococcus aureus isolates. We develop molecular assays PCR- or RT-PCR-based to identify or characterize bacteria of clinical importance (toxins, virulence factors, resistance markers or genotyping). Whole-genome sequencing dedicated to comparative genomic or epidemiology purposes are also important parts of our activity
