Dr. Herath is originally from Sri Lanka. He graduated from the University of Peradeniya with Honors, and then, went on to obtain a PhD in Neuroscience from the prestigious Nobel Institute of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm Sweden. His work focused on in vivo brain imaging of humans involved in high level dual tasking. This work work was followed by an internship in Psychiatry, and a residency in Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
