Dr. Richard Charnigo is a tenured full professor in the Departments of Statistics and Biostatistics at the University of Kentucky. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Case Western Reserve University in 2003. His research interests include mixture modeling, nonparametric smoothing, cardiology, psychology, and public health. Dr. Charnigo has published more than 100 articles in peer-review journals and is currently an editor-in-chief of the Journal of Biometrics and Biostatistics.
Dr. Charnigo′s research interests in statistics include mixture modeling (including applications to microarray data analysis) and nonparametric regression (including applications to pattern recognition problems in Raman spectroscopy and light scattering by nanoparticles). Dr. Charnigo′s collaborative research interests include cardiology, psychology, organizational behavior, and public health.
