Professor Roger Strasser was founding dean and CEO of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine from 2002 to 2019. In 2020, he assumed the role of professor of rural health at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
Prior to 2002, Strasser was professor of rural health and head of Monash University’s School of Rural Health in Australia. From 1992 to 2004, he had an international role with the World Organization of Family Doctors as chair of its working party on rural practice.
