Dr. Ruurd Jaarsma is a clinical academic orthopaedic surgeon, working out of Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders Private Hospital. He is the head of the trauma unit at Flinders Medical Centre. His did his training in the Netherlands before moving to Adelaide in 2004. Apart from the director of Orthopaedic Training, he is currently the head of Year 4 of Flinders Medical School. His PhD was on the topic of rotational malalignment after femoral fractures.
