Biography
Dr Sandhya Mehrotra obtained her master’s degree in Life Sciences and thereafter a PhD degree from the centre for plant molecular biology, National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. The dissertation involved studying the expression and regulation of genes encoded by the chloroplast genome and involved in photosynthesis. She serves as an Assistant Professor at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
