Biomedical research, Organic, Bioorganic chemistry and Applied Analytical chemistry – Food Science.  Phytochemical and Biological Studies of Kenyan Medicinal Plants.  Evaluation of antimicrobials efficacy of medicinal plants traditionally used in the controlled of infectious diseases and Investigation of Natural Products with Antimalarial, Trypanocidal and Leishmanicidal Activity from Medicinal Plants.  Combination of Synthesis and Natural Product Chemistry  Synthesis of Potential Antimalarial Agents by Chemical Coupling of Novel Natural Products and Synthetic Templates.  Quantification of Phytochemicals with Antioxidant activities from different varieties of fruits and specific vegetables from selected areas in Kenya.  Determination of Cyanogenic Potential levels in Cassava from Different Agro - ecological zones in Kenya.  Potential of Plant crops as Bio-diesel.  Bioavailability of Vitamin A, E and C in People living with AIDS and Effects of Indigenous Food in the Management of HIV & AIDS.
