Biography
Tony Chen joined Hospital for Special Surgery in March 2011 as a postdoctoral fellow. He is currently an instructor with interests in understanding changes in joint contact mechanics after injuries, and the cellular and tissue responses to changes in joint contact mechanics. He is the VP of Scientific Affairs at AGelity Biomechanics, a spin-off company from Hospital for Special Surgery founded in 2014, which focuses on designing non-degradable implants for the repair of focal articular cartilage defects in the knee.
