Lodewijk van Rijn was born in 1962 in the former Dutch New Guinea.
In 1990, he completed his medical studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 1996 he completed his training as an orthopedic surgeon.
Since 1998 he has worked in the MUMC +. In 2005 he obtained his doctorate in Dynamics and Relationships in idiopathic scoliosis. "Three years later, the inauguration as Professor of Orthopedic Biotechnology. In 2010 he was appointed head / trainer and the Department of Orthopaedics.
His subspecialty concerns Kinder orthopedics and spine surgery. His particular area of ââinterest concerns the scoliosebehandeling among children / young adults.
