Vision loss is a term commonly used to mean absence of vision suddenly or as a gradual process over time. When low vision can be treated through correctable surgeries and medications vision loss is a problematic issue. Broad spectrums of eye conditions can lead to vision impairment, blindness and permanent vision loss. Performing eye examinations on a regular basis can improve the chances of early diagnosis of conditions that may lead to vision loss. To get the world out of darkness we need to screen, detect, educate, advocate our population on eye health and eye disorders.
