Histamine intolerance and Atopic Eczema
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease in which the role of diet is being actively investigated. The symptoms of this disease had showed some striking similarities with that of histamine intolerance and thus shed light into this diet modulation. A third of eczematics who adopted a diet free of the most common food allergens and foods with high histamine counts reported a significant decrease in the symptoms of atopic eczema. So it is commonly suggested to have low histamine diet to avoid these complications.
