Gaseous pollutants

Many countries depend on oil for energy uses and development, hence import all of its oil and gas needs. Thereby, consequent harmful effects on the environment,
such as global warming, ozone, smog, and acid rain, may result from the gases emanating from fossil fuel combustion. In this work, the scientific reasoning for the gaseous pollutant formation and their harmful effects on human health and environment, including biological effects of thermal pollution relevant to combustion processes, are discussed.
