Before the wireless age started 15-20 years ago, people mainly replied on the wired networks for communications. Nowadays, wireless communications has become a necessity for many people. Every year, for the cellular networks alone, there are over 120,000 new base stations deployed around the world. Each base station consumes an average power of 1 KW and uses a total of 8,766 KW-hours each year.
