Diphtheria caused by infection called as bacterium “Corynebacterium diphtheria” it affects for mild to severe. Diphtheria is usually spread between people by direct contact or through the air.
Some people carry the bacteria without having symptoms, but can still spread the disease to others. The symptoms are due to a toxin produced by the bacteria. Diphtheria is a bacterial infection that affects the membranes of the throat and nose. Although it spreads easily, diphtheria can be prevented through the use of vaccines.
Maintain close monitoring of cardiac activity for early detection of rhythm abnormalities. IVs will be provided for patients with a toxic appearance; provide invasive monitoring and aggressive resuscitation for patients with septicaemia.
