Cancer is characterized by uncontrolled growth of cells. Cancers harms the body by uncontrolled cell division and resulting in the formation of lump of tissue mass that interrupts with the normal body conditions by releasing hormones. The general homeostasis of the body is affected. The tumour is named benign until they stay at the spot of origin and shows limited growth. Once it starts spreading from one part of the body to another through blood and lymph nodes then it is considered to be malignant. The process by which they start spreading id named as invasion and the process by which they manage to get nutrients and blood is termed as angiogenesis.
