Drug-induced toxicity is a big issue in the clinical practice. Most drugs may cause adverse drug reactions, in small portion of patients. Understanding the mechanism could help us to predict, prevent, and treat the drug-induced toxicity. Although lots of researches have been done in this field, unfortunately, very few mechanisms are known. In recent couple decades, different omics are used to investigate the mechanism of drug-induced toxicity, for example, genomics and proteomics. These omics could provide us the information at gene and protein level, respectively.
A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record.
