Alex V. Vasenkov

Alex V. Vasenkov is Senior Scientist at CFD Research Corporation. He earned his Ph.D. at the Institute of Thermophysics at Russian Academy of Science in 1996. From 1998 until 2003, he was a senior researcher at this institute. In 2001-03 he also worked as a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia in Canada and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of 32 publications in peer-reviewed journals and over 36 presentations at leading scientific conferences. He also authored the chapter entitled “Modeling Nanotube Synthesis: The Multiscale Approach\", published in the Encyclopedia of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. He was Principal Investigator of peer-reviewed projects funded by NSF, DOE and private companies. He served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of nanomaterials, multi-scale modeling, carbon nanotubes, nanoparticles and rare events dynamics.
