Gagik G Gurzadyan received his Ph.D. degree from Moscow State University in 1983 and Dr. Sci. from Yerevan State University in 1996. He was a post doc at Max-Planck-Institute of Radiation Chemistry (Germany) and CEA/Saclay (France). During 2002-11, he was a Senior Scientist at Technical University of Munich (Germany), and from 2008 Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). His research interests include nonlinear optics, ultrafast laser spectroscopy, and nonlinear photochemistry. Last years he was focused on femtosecond relaxation processes in graphene and singlet fission in organic crystals. He has authored/co-authored six books and about 80 scientific articles. His Handbook of Nonlinear Optical Crystals (Springer-Verlag) is used as a textbook in University courses of over than 10 countries.
