Liming Ying is a Senior Lecturer at Molecular Medicine Section, National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, UK. He has received a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Peking University, Beijing, China (1998). His BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Physical Chemistry were also obtained from Peking University (1988 and 1991). He received Distinguished Young Chemist Award from the Chinese Chemical Society in 1999 and David Phillips Research Fellowship from the Biotechnology and Biosciences Research Council (UK) in 2003. He was a fellow of Hughes Hall College, University of Cambridge between 2004 and 2006. He has authored/co-authored over 70 peer reviewed publications and three patents. He is serving as reviewer for a number of scientific organizations and funding bodies.
