Biography

Dr. Manoj Sharma (Born on 01 September 1977 at Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India) is presently working as an Associate Professor in Pharmacology and Toxicology Department, School of Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jiwaji University Gwalior-India. He obtained B.Pharm in 1999 from Barkatullah University, Bhopal and M.Pharm (Pharmacology) in March 2003 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India. After qualifying Junior Research Fellowship (2004) of Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India in 2004, he joined the laboratory of Dr.R.Vijayaraghavan, Scientist `G’ in Division of Pharmacology and toxicology, Defence Research and Development Establishment, Gwalior (MP). then he qualified Senior Research Fellowship in 2006 from same funding agency. He obtained Ph.D. in Pharmacology (Faculty in Medicine) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India in April 2009. Dr. Sharma has published several research papers in Journal of National and International repute. He received best paper award at DRDE Award Ceremony- 2009 at Defence Research and Development Establishment, Gwalior, India. He has authored / co-authored of four books and also applied for one patent. He has completed one project as Principal investigator funded by DRDE, Gwalior and also completed 08 projects as team member during fellowship period. He has supervised 15 M.Pharm student`s dissertation and some students have been registered for phd under his guidance. He has been nominated as “CPCSEA Nominee” by Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India in 2014. Dr. Manoj Sharma’s current research interests are Drug Discovery and Development, Mechanism of Alkylating Agents induced injuries and toxicity, Antidote Development against Alkylating Agents induced toxicity, Molecular Pharmacology and Cytoprotective agents against Anticancer Drugs.
