Dr Machajova is qualified as Doctor of Public Health. She works as a Vice-Head and lecturer at the Department of Public Health, Trnava university (Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Work). She conducts scientific research in Public Health, with particular interest in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Health. She has international working experience from the University of Parma in Italy, where she was a member of the research team testing a non-invasive method for the diagnosis of respiratory diseases. She is in-country coordinator for Slovakia, as part of an international project focused on reducing health inequalities, and a member of project focused on building learning and informational online platform for educational projects and related policies concerning reducing ethnic inequalities, e.g. Roma education and training. She worked in Occupational Health Services as a Public Health Specialist focused on Risk assessment, planning, management, implementation and evaluation of the preventive programs aimed at health promotion and health protection.
