Qi Zhang obtained his Bachelor\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s degree in Chemistry at Fudan University, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry in 2010 at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science. After working as a research assistant professor at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, he is now working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. To date he has published nine first-author papers (including 2 corresponding-author papers) in various high profile journals such as Nature Chemical Biology, PNAS, Accounts of Chemical Research, etc.
Qi Zhang’s research interests include radical enzymology, particularly radical S-adenosylmethionine enzymology, and chemical biology in relation to posttranslational modifications. He is also very interested in chemical genomics and chemical ecology studies.
