Biography

Stephen Winn is Academic Director for the University of New England’s Faculty of The Professions (School of Rural Medicine, School of Health, School of Education, School of Business and School of Law) and Acting Deputy Head of School for the School of Rural Medicine.He has a PhD from Flinders University South Australia from the Faculty of Health Science in the area of deafness and hearing impairment.He is one of Australia’s leading researchers and academics in disability, public health, social inclusion and post-school outcomes.Associate Professor Winn is an Australian Research Council assessor in the area of Public Health and has published widely in Australia and internationally.He also works extensively in the application of a national high speed broadband in the area of public health, agriculture and education.
