Acne Pigmentation

Acne pigmentation is also called as Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or hyperpigmentation. In this pigmentation, looks like dark spots or red spots that stay on the skin after acne lesions heal. Acne lesions cause skin cells to produce more melanin, which is the pigment that gives color to the skin and makes the skin appear darker. Hyperpigmentation can also occur in the Caucasian skin and can last for months, and sometimes even years. It is mainly caused by UV-light or light rays from the sun, so protect your skin from the dust pollution and also from the excessive sunlight.
