Adult Nurse Practitioner

An adult nurse practitioner (ANP) focuses on the primary care of adults (ages 12 and over). The main roles of ANPs focus on preventive care involving health promotion and disease prevention as well as the management of patients with acute and chronic health issues. Adult nurse practitioners provide medical care to patients from teen through the elderly. They must possess a master's degree, licensure, and possibly certification.
