Blue Biotechnology is used to protect the marine organisms from harmful diseases underwater. The control of seasonal production and reproduction in farm animals has become major research goals. The applications of biotechnology to fish farming and ornamental fish production are numerous and valuable in both economic (food production, aquarium trade) and environmental terms (conservation of natural biodiversity for endangered species and protection of natural biodiversity from escapee domesticated strains).
