Binge-eating Disorder

Binge Eating Disorder is commonly known by compulsive overeating or consuming abnormal amounts of food. People eat large amounts of food rapidly, do not purgative, and are very distressed by their behaviour. Treatment aims to help people control binge eating and includes cognitive-behavioural therapy, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and stimulant drugs. Weight-loss programs, some weight-loss drugs, and stimulant drugs may help control weight.
