Bio-pharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics

Bio-Pharmaceutics is the study of the influence of formulation on the pharmaceutical activity of a drug product. It can be described by the factors influencing the bioavailability of a drug in humans and animals and the use of this information to enhance the pharmacological or therapeutic activity of drug products in therapeutic application. It is the discipline that embraces the relationship between the physical, chemical and biological studies as they apply to medicines, dosage forms, and to drug activities. Pharmacokinetics is the study that describes the body actions towards the drugs after administration.
