Biomedical optics and Lasers

Photonic technology in medicine has brought great change in many clinical works and has the potential to affect health care in large extent. Optical spectra are relayed on the absorption, fluorescence, or Raman scattering, which provides biochemical information since molecular conformation is related to it.

The introduction of photonic technology into medicine has revolutionized many clinical procedures and has the potential to continue to greatly impact health care. Optical spectra—based on absorption, fluorescence, or Raman scattering—provide biochemical information because they  are related to molecular conformation.

Many scientific, military, medical and commercial laser applications have been developed since the invention of the laser. The coherency, high monochromaticity, and ability to reach extremely high powers are all properties which allow for these specialized applications.
