Computational Biological Systems

Computational Biological systems known as Biomedical Computing is the study of complex biological systems related to genetic sequences, DNA studies, and protein folding mechanism. It also includes the study of Bioinformatics, Molecular evolution and phylogenetic modeling and human genome project


Systems biology is the computational and mathematical modeling of complex biological systems. An emerging engineering approach applied to biomedical and biological scientific research, systems biology is a biology-based inter-disciplinary field of study that focuses on complex interactions within biological systems. Computational systems biology aims to develop and use efficient algorithms, data structures, visualization and communication tools with the goal of computer modelling of biological systems. It involves the use of computer simulations of biological systems, including cellular subsystems (such as the networks of metabolites and enzymes which comprise metabolism, signal transduction pathways and gene regulatory networks), to both analyze and visualize the complex connections of these cellular processes.
