Emotion regulation therapy is a type of psychological therapy which is used to control unwanted emotions. The most effective way to control unwanted emotions are shift the attentional focus, change thoughts and response ,by seeing bigger picture and modify the situation. Emotion regulation is all about identifying, responding and managing to emotions in a way that allows to be useful and productive aspects of the patients internal experience. To regulate an emotion does not necessarily mean to make it disappear than it necessarily means to intensify the emotion. By this emotion regulation therapy, anxiety disorder can be treated.
