It is in the basis of public health, shapes policy decisions and evidence-based practice by identifying risk factors for disease and targets for preventive healthcare. Epidemiology has assisted to develop procedures which are used in clinical research, public health studies, and, to a lesser extent, basic research in the biological sciences.

Pathophysiology

Pathophysiology is a part of pathology with physiology. It is a deranged function in an individual or an organ due to a disease. Pathology depicts conditions ordinarily saw during an infection state, while physiology is the natural order that characterizes procedures working inside a organism. Pathology clarifies the undesired condition, though pathophysiology looks to clarify the useful changes that are happening inside a person because of an illness or pathologic state.
