Ethical Issues in Dementia

Providing care for dementia patients has some ethical issues associated such as maintaining safety and freedom of patients equally. The ethical issues relating to organisations providing care for dementia patients need higher economic support which will result in categorisation of patients. Other components such as genetic testing, placebo control are also facing ethical problems. Another issue will be driving, the persons with dementia should not drive and their driving licence should be cancelled. Electronic tracking the dementia patients is important to give patients freedom and still manage safety. In dementia conferences various social organisations had discussed moral issues on dementia however limiting dementia patients with their movement cannot be answer for wellbeing of dementia society.
