Forensic Psychiatry

Many past offenders against or potential future offenders other people are suspected with mental health problems or an intellectual or developmental disability, this includes those who commit serious violent crimes, including sexual violence, and fire-setting. Forensic Psychiatry is a specialized branch of psychiatry where the medical and the legal issues are brought under same roof. It is a fascinating sub-specialty that involves the application of medical psychiatric expertise in legal contexts that may be criminal or civil. Forensic psychiatry involves conversation about psychiatric activities, penalties and subjects related to women violence related to psychiatric patients. The aim is to anticipate and prevent consequences of psychiatric disturbances, through risk management and enhance safety related to child psychiatry, patients and public.
