Green Chemistry

Green chemistry is the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use or generation of perilous substances. Green Chemistry’s focus is on the sustainability of environment. Green Chemistry is a revolutionary approach to the way that products are made. Green chemistry applies across the life cycle of a chemical product, including its design, manufacture, use, and ultimate disposal. Green chemistry principles like Prevention; It is better to prevent waste than to treat and clean up waste after it is formed. Synthetic methods for Atom Economy, Less Hazardous Chemical Syntheses for which Synthetic methodologies should be designed to use. Important principles like Designing Safer Chemicals to preserve efficacy of the function while reducing toxicity and Design for Energy Efficiency for the chemical products and Safer Solvents and Auxiliaries. Energy requirements should be recognized for their environmental and economic impacts and should be minimized by the Design for Energy Efficiency. For the feedstocks and raw materials Use of Renewable Feedstocks has become necessary. Reduce Derivatives and Catalysis of the Chemical feed which is to be used to made the chemical products. New and innovative Design for Degradation are taken as an important topic to discuss in present era. Real-time analysis for Pollution Prevention; Analytical methodologies need to be further developed to allow for real-time in-process monitoring and control prior to the formation of hazardous substances. Inherently Safer Chemistry for Accident Prevention; Substance and the form of a material used in a chemical process should be chosen like Green fertilizers to minimize the potential for chemical accidents, including releases, explosions and fires.
