Heart Repair or Transplant

Heart functions well when blood flows through the arteries without any blockage and in one direction. Valves of the heart open and close in a synced manner  that ensures the flow of blood in one direction. Leaflets present around the valves of the heart open to pass the blood from one chamber to other and close to stop blood flowing backward. These leaflets may function improperly due to various reasons in individuals causing an improper flow of blood. Heart Valve repair or transplant is done to ensure the blood flow in correct direction. The pulmonary valves are repaired by inserting a catheter through a large blood vessel and futher to the heart. The Catheter widens the valve which thus improves the functioning of the valve.
