 A model organism is a non-human species that is extensively studied to understand particular biological phenomena, with the expectation that discoveries made in the organism model will provide insight into the workings of other organisms. It deals with the physiological functioning of the immune system in states of both health and diseases; malfunctions of the immune system in immunological disorders. The animal model used to study physical, chemical and physiological characteristics of the components of the immune system in vitro, in situ and in vivo.
