Neuro Biology

Neurobiology is the study of cells of the nervous system and sub-discipline of both biology and neuroscience. The organization of cells into functional circuits that process information and mediate behaviour. Neurons are diverse with respect to morphology and function. The scope of neuroscience has broadened over time to include different approaches used to study the molecular, cellular, developmental, computational, psychosocial and medical aspects of the nervous system. The techniques used by neuroscientists have also expanded enormously, from molecular and cellular studies of individual neurons to imaging of sensory and motor tasks in the brain. Recent theoretical advances in neuroscience have also been aided by the study of neural networks. This multidisciplinary approach is yielding of mechanisms that influence how we think, feel, and act.
