Nutritional Quality of Foods and Nutritional Disorders

A poor diet that lacks essential nutrients generally causes nutritional deficiencies. The different types of nutritional deficiencies and disorders are vitamins and mineral deficiency disorders, obesity, diabetes and related disorders, food allergy and intolerance, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, malnutrition and associated disorders, mental disorders and lifestyle related disorders. As per our research, it is estimated that there were around 925 million undernourished people in the world. Another billion people are estimated to have a lack of vitamins and minerals. In 2013 protein-energy malnutrition was estimated to have resulted in 469,000 deaths down from 510,000 deaths in 1990.
