Online Counseling

Online counselling is the provision of professional mental health counselling services through the Internet. Online counselling is just as effective as in-person therapy for anxiety disorders. Online counselling is a great way to get the professional help of a therapist to work on your difficulties, even when you physically cannot be present for a one-on-one counselling session

The main goal of counselling is to reduce a person's distress, anxiety or concerns when he or she enters therapy in which Online therapy is tremendously effective. Online counselling constitutes Web counselling, E counselling, E therapy.

Online therapy, also known as e-therapy, e-counselling, teletherapy or cyber-counselling, is a relatively new development in mental health in which a therapist or counsellor provides psychological advice and support over the Internet. This can occur through e-mail, video conferencing, online chat, or Internet phone. Online therapy can occur in real-time, such as in phone conversations and online chat rooms, or in a time-delayed format, such as through e-mail messages. Online therapists cannot diagnose or treat mental illness online; they can offer guidance and advice to people experiencing problems in relationships, work, or life. E-therapy is a term that has been coined to describe the process of interacting with a therapist online in an on-going series of conversations over time. E-therapists are very different from one-question "advice" or "information" services.

Online counseling is a great way to get the professional help of a therapist to work on your difficulties, even when you physically cannot be present for a one-on-one counseling session. It helps people even when they are a few hundred kilometers away or perhaps even a continent away, as distance does not stop from choosing happier ways of thinking and living.
