Nosocomial infections are caused by viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens .The most common types are Bacteraemia, Pneumonia (like Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia), Urinary Tract Infection, and Surgical Site Infection. The site of Nosocomial infections depends on the type of the patient hospital procedure. Infections associated with invasive devices were often seen as a Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia, Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection or Venous Central Catheter related Bacteraemia.
