Diabetes in Pregnancy

Presence of diabetes in mother during pregnancy increases the risk of birth defects in baby by 2-3 folds. High blood sugar in mother during pregnancy poses risks like miscarriage, growth restriction/acceleration in the baby, macrosomia (fetal obesity) etc. Gestational diabetes which usually occurs during third trimester of pregnancy has fewer risks than diabetes before pregnancy and it is reversible. Blood sugar must levels be regulated during pregnancy using proper medication and dietary measures.

Adrenal Diseases

Adrenal hormone and a neurotransmitter found in vertibrates and protozoans. They are also produced at the ends of sympathetic neurons as chemical mediators for conveying the nerve impulses to effector organs. Epinephrine come under a group of monoamines called the catecholamines. It is produced in neurons of the central nervous system and in the chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla from the amino acids phenylalanine and tyrosine.

Hyperglycemia

Hyperglycemia, or high blood sugar (also spelled hyperglycaemia, not to be confused with the opposite disorder, hypoglycemia) is a condition in which an excessive amount of glucose circulates in the blood plasma. Temporary hyperglycemia is often benign and asymptomatic. Blood glucose levels can rise well above normal for significant periods without producing any permanent effects or symptoms.

Growth Hormone Therapy

Hormone therapy is the use of hormones in medical treatment. Treatment with hormone antagonists may also referred to as hormonal therapy or antihormone therapy. The most general classes of hormone therapy are oncologic hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy, of which there are various kinds (e.g., for menopause, for male menopause, or for gender change).

Hormone therapy is another form of systemic therapy. It is most often used as an adjuvant therapy to help reduce the risk of the cancer coming back after surgery. Hormone therapy for cancer is the use of medicines to block the effects of hormones. It uses one or more female hormones, commonly estrogen and progestin and sometimes testosterone, to treat symptoms of menopause. Hormonal therapy can slow down or prevent cancer cells from growing.

Diabetic Eye Disease

Polycystic ovary Syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common endocrine system disorder among women of reproductive age. It is a condition in which a woman's levels of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone are out of balance. This manly leads to Polycystic ovaries, Excess androgen, Irregular periods.

Diabetes Mellitus

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic, lifelong condition that affects your body's ability to use the energy found in food. There are three major types of diabetes: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. All types of diabetes mellitus have something in common. Normally, your body breaks down the sugars and carbohydrates you eat into a special sugar called glucose. Glucose fuels the cells in your body. But the cells need insulin, a hormone, in your bloodstream in order to take in the glucose and use it for energy. With diabetes mellitus, either your body doesn't make enough insulin, it can't use the insulin it does produce, or a combination of both.

Pituitary Diseases

The symptoms that pituitary adenomas produce depend upon several factors, including whether the tumors are hormone-producing or clinically nonfunctioning.
• Hormone-producing pituitary adenomas release an active hormone in excessive amounts into the bloodstream. Patients usually experience symptoms related to the hormone action on the body.
